Ceremonial-Style Matcha Green Tea

The most classic recipe for drinking greenergy matcha tea.

In a Japanese tea ceremony, Matcha is prepared using a bamboo whisk called a "Chasen" and a bamboo scoop called a "Chasaku".

Start by sifting ½ teaspoon (1 gram) of Greenergy Matcha into a cup. Add 80 ml of water at 80°C. Then whisk with the bamboo whisk making "M" or "W" movements until you get a smooth, lump-free foam. Finally add 180 ml of hot water and that's it. You now have your Greenergy Ceremonial Matcha!

If you don't have the traditional Japanese utensils or simply want to prepare Matcha tea in a simpler and faster way, you can use an electric whisk (usually used for coffee or milk) or a manual kitchen whisk.

We recommend using the electric whisk, since the Matcha tea comes out frothier, smoother and lump-free!
